About Shri Somnath

Shri Somnath Temple, located in Prabhas Patan, Gujarat, is the first of the twelve sacred Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated on the Arabian Sea coast, it is one of the most revered pilgrimage sites in India, known for its ancient history and spiritual significance.

The temple is believed to have been built by the Moon God (Soma) in gold, as per legend, and has been rebuilt multiple times due to historical invasions.
